DAY 1: HANOI ✈ TAIPEI Dinner Morning: The tour guide and transportation from the travel company will pick you up at the meeting point and transfer to Noi Bai Airport for flight VJ942 (14:25-18:00). Arrive at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. Explore Shilin Night Market – one of the most famous night markets in Taiwan, showcasing the culture, people, and lifestyle of the locals. Here, you can shop for your favorite items at very affordable prices and, most importantly, enjoy the flavorful Taiwanese cuisine. It’s also an opportunity to discover the lively and friendly life of the local people. Overnight stay in Taipei.
DAY 2: TAIPEI Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Morning: Breakfast at the hotel, then the group will visit:
- Old Street: A very interesting stop, offering a panoramic view of Taiwan, perfect for those who want to admire an entirely ancient space. The street runs along the train track, an area with about 10 households built since ancient times but still exuding an indescribable charm, attracting tourists on Taiwan tours. Here, you can witness the tradition of releasing sky lanterns into the sky, a prayer symbolizing peace, a unique cultural feature. Lanterns are made of oil rice paper on a frame made of bamboo or rattan. They come in various colors, each with a different meaning, such as health, wealth, or peace.
- Shifen Waterfall: This beautiful island also has a waterfall dubbed the Asian version of Niagara Falls. Although not as majestic and spanning two countries like the “original,” Shifen Waterfall is still one of the must-visit places. To admire Shifen, you have to cross a suspension bridge. The waterfall is about 20m high and 40m wide, making it the widest waterfall in Taiwan, located at the source of the Cao Long River.
- Yehliu Geopark: Considered a treasure of Taiwan due to erosion by wind and sand, sea wave erosion, and the accumulation of the remains of sea creatures, the beach has formed many layers of fossils and diverse and beautiful rock formations, creating a rare natural wonder. Every year, countless tourists flock to Yehliu, also known as Yehliu, to explore and capture impressive photos. Afternoon: The group will have lunch at a restaurant. Evening: The group will explore and shop for good luck at the Feng Shui unicorn store, and shop for jewelry. Dinner: The group will have dinner and then have free time to explore the night markets in Taipei. Overnight in Taipei.
DAY 3: TAIPEI – TAICHUNG Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Visit and shop at the 101-floor Tower – an international-grade project designed by the great architect C.Y. Lee, who put a lot of effort into the design. Taking the number 8 with the homonym “phat” meaning prosperity of the Chinese, to design. Every 8 floors make up a structural unit, interconnected, stacked on top of each other. The overall construction, the exterior, forms the smooth rhythm of aesthetic beauty. (Not including the fee to the top of the tower) Visit the Memorial Tower of Zhongzheng (also known as the Memorial House of Chiang Kai-shek): a place reserved for the military and political leaders of the government of the Republic of China from 1950 to 1975. Explore the history of the leader in the 20th century through photos, paintings, and excellent architectural designs. DIY Pineapple Castle attends a pineapple cake-making class and receives a cake as a gift. Pineapple cake is a traditional sweet cake believed to bring good luck!
Lunch: The group will have a Shabu Shabu buffet lunch. Visit the Taichung Opera House, a unique creation by Japanese architect Toyo Ito, inspired by the “cave” or “hole” of prehistoric humans, becoming a curved, unique, and unparalleled architectural structure in the world. Due to the extremely complex construction process, it has been internationally honored and included in the “9 new icons of the world.” The opera house covers an area of 58,000 m2 with a capacity of 3,000 people. A special feature is a series of glass walls in the shape of a sand clock on the front, covered by a network of glass panels for visitors to admire the city from various floors. Free time to explore the Fengjia Night Market.
Dinner: Free to enjoy and taste the cuisine at the Fengjia Night Market. Overnight in Taichung/Nantou.
DAY 4: TAICHUNG – NANTOU – KAOHSIUNG Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. The group will move to Nantou: Boat tour of Sun Moon Lake, the largest natural lake in Taiwan. Located on the plateau, Sun Moon Lake is more than 700m above sea level, in Nantou District, central Taiwan. The eastern part of the lake is round like the sun, while the west side is crescent-shaped like the moon. Therefore, this place is called Sun Moon Lake. Visit Wenwu Temple – a place dedicated to Confucius (Literature Temple) and Guan Gong (Military Temple) located on the north shore of Sun Moon Lake, built as an architectural system along the hills, stretching from low to high, creating a sparkling, magical, and sacred scene. Visit the Lingzhi store for shopping.
Lunch: The group will have lunch at a restaurant. Afternoon: The group will visit and shop at the Oolong tea shop. Continue to move to Kaohsiung. Visit and take photos of Formosa Boulevard MRT Station in Kaohsiung, once praised by CNN as one of the most beautiful subway stations in the world, experiencing a subway ride here.
Dinner: Free to enjoy and taste the cuisine at the Liuhe Night Market. Overnight in Kaohsiung.
DAY 5: KAOHSIUNG ✈ HANOI Meals: Breakfast/Lunch
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and move to visit: Visit and pay homage to the Buddha Light Mountain, inaugurated in 2011, a typical architectural work representing the fusion of modern and traditional, Eastern and Western elements of Taiwan. The statue of Buddha Quang placed behind the main hall is the symbol of this temple. The 108-meter-high statue, cast from 1872 tons of copper, is now the world’s tallest bronze statue. From the 1st to the 15th of the first lunar month is the time when tourists come to visit the busiest temple. Lunch: The group will have lunch at a restaurant.
