With just a 2-hour flight from Hanoi directly to Chiang Mai, you will experience the fresh and cool air of this beautiful city nestled in a valley amidst the mountains. Partly surrounded by an ancient moat and the walls of the old city, Chiang Mai boasts world-class restaurants and small street stalls serving food. Chiang Mai is generally cooler than Bangkok, with a relatively cool climate, occasional cold temperatures, and mist.

DAY 1: HANOI – CHIANG MAI (Dinner)
● 12:20 PM: Transfer by car from the main gate of Thong Nhat Park – 69 Tran Nhan Tong Street – Hanoi to Noi Bai International Airport for FD871 flight departing at 3:20 PM to Chiang Mai.
● 5:05 PM: Arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport, complete immigration procedures for entry into Thailand.
● Local guide welcomes the group at Chiang Mai International Airport and takes the group to the city center.
● In the evening, enjoy a traditional Northern Thai dinner known as Khantoke, featuring local specialties.
● Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
● Free time for guests to experience and explore the Night Bazaar, representing the traditional cultural essence, genuine warmth, and hospitality of the Thai people.
DAY 2: CHIANG MAI – CHIANG RAI (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
● After breakfast at the hotel, the group travels along the smooth national highway to Chiang Rai.
● Visit the Royal Flora Garden, an expansive 80-hectare garden where the annual Royal Flower Festival takes place in Chiang Mai.
● Transfer to the Long Neck Village to explore and learn about the traditional customs of the Karen ethnic minority. The Karen people originally hail from Myanmar but, due to economic and political factors, have gradually moved to live and settle in Thailand. They have a unique tradition of wearing rings around their necks. According to their traditional beliefs, the longer the neck, the more beautiful and noble a person is. Additionally, the number of rings around the neck signifies the wealth and prosperity of the family.
● The group has lunch and continues to visit the Blue Temple. The walls and ceilings are painted in deep blue, symbolizing the teachings of Buddha. Beautiful murals depict stories of Buddha, creating an enchanting atmosphere that captivates visitors who find it hard to leave.
● Free time for shopping at stores offering gold, silver, gemstones, and honey. Later, proceed to Chiang Rai.
● Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, the group has dinner and checks into the hotel. Overnight stay in Chiang Rai.
DAY 3: CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
● After breakfast at the hotel, the group checks out and departs for the Golden Triangle, an area of mountains located at the confluence of the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. This region was once the territory of the infamous drug lord Khun Sa, known for cultivating opium poppies and producing the world’s largest supply of heroin. Today, the Golden Triangle is one of the fascinating tourist destinations in northern Thailand. The hills once covered with opium poppies have now been replaced by orchards, tea plantations, and coffee farms. Visitors can hear intriguing stories about this land, explore the entire landscape at the meeting point of the three rivers bordering Laos, Myanmar, and take a boat trip on the romantic Mekong River or admire the Mae Sai border, a bustling trading gateway between Thailand and Myanmar.
● Lunch: The group enjoys lunch at a restaurant in Chiang Rai.
● In the afternoon, the group visits the White Temple – Wat Rong Khun, designed and constructed by the famous Thai artist and architect, Chalermchai Kositpipat. The temple perfectly combines classical Thai architecture with surrealism, and its predominantly white color symbolizes the purity of Buddha.
● Free time for shopping at local stores offering leather goods and snake farms.
● The group returns to Chiang Mai, stopping along the way to experience a relaxing foot bath at a hot spring. Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, the group has dinner at a local restaurant.
● Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
DAY 4: CHIANG MAI – DOI SUTHEP TEMPLE – BO SANG VILLAGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
● After breakfast at the hotel,
● The group departs to visit the Phrathat Doi Suthep Temple, one of the holiest temples in Chiang Mai, revered by the Thai people. It is a pilgrimage site for many Buddhists during significant festivals. Travelers often say that a visit to Chiang Mai without paying respects at PhraThat Temple is incomplete. Phrathat Doi Suthep is an ancient temple built by King Kuena of the Mangrai dynasty on Doi Suthep. According to legend, the relics of Buddha were brought to this temple by a monk named Sumanathera from Sukhothai in 1371. When the relics arrived in Lanna, King Kuena built a chedi (similar to a tower) at SuanDak Temple to enshrine a part, and the remaining part was enshrined at PhraThat Doi Suthep.
● Afterwards, the group is driven to the traditional umbrella-making village of Bo Sang. In the Thai language, “Bo Sang” means “umbrella.” Bo Sang is a small village in the ancient Lanna kingdom. The village has been known for generations for its exquisite handmade umbrellas. Over more than a century, the craft village has expanded, and the reputation of these delicate umbrellas has spread far and wide. Today, Bo Sang is an enduring symbol of Chiang Mai’s culture. Despite being a popular souvenir for tourists, Bo Sang umbrellas remain a beloved and sought-after memento. It is the most cherished souvenir when visiting the Rose of the North, Chiang Mai.

DAY 5: CHIANG MAI – HANOI (Breakfast)
● After breakfast at the hotel, guests complete the check-out procedures.
● Free time for the group to explore and shop.
● Later, the group is transferred to the airport. Guests board flight FD870 at 1:20 PM, arriving at Noi Bai International Airport at 2:50 PM.
● Transfer by car from Noi Bai International Airport to the city center.
● Bid farewell to the group, concluding the journey.
